Betina's Story
Betina Hobeş is the founder and designer of jewels for joy. Born with a keen interest in culture and arts, Betina pursued her passion and graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, one of the most prestigious fine art universities in Turkey, with a degree in sculpture in 2016. Betina's journey as a jewellery designer began while studying a variety of artistic disciplines, including jewellery making.
After completing her studies, Betina worked at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art for five years at the Education Department. During this time, she began making jewellery as a hobby in her home studio, inspired by her artistic background and passion for creative expression. Eventually, Betina left the museum to pursue her love of jewellery making full-time and founded jewels for joy in 2020. In addition to her work with jewels for joy, Betina started working as a product manager for two other jewellery brands, honing her skills and expertise in the industry and allowing her to create commercially viable pieces.
Betina's mission with jewels for joy is to bring joy to people's lives through playful, unique jewellery creations. Her background in art and sculpture is reflected in the brand's designs, which are inspired by nature and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. With a focus on quality craftsmanship and sustainability, jewels for joy offers a range of one-of-a-kind pieces that are not only stylish but also mindful of the environment.
Each jewellery piece from jewels for joy is designed with creativity and passion, and Betina's commitment to bringing joy to people's lives has made the brand a beloved choice among jewellery enthusiasts. Through her brand, Betina hopes to inspire others to make conscious choices that support a better future for all.
